The Hop
Start a trip, check in at every spot, and snap photos along the way. Your night gets stitched together as it happens — no group chat archaeology required.
Run the night. Replay the night.
The night-out app for groups. Map your crew in real time, log every stop with photos, and wake up to an auto-made recap of the whole story. Built for the way you actually go out.
What is HOPN
Where is everyone? Who took that photo at the second bar? What was the name of the place we ended up at 1am? HOPN turns the chaos of a great night into something you can actually keep. Start a trip, check in with your crew, hop between spots, and wake up the next morning to a recap that tells the whole story.
The Four Pillars
Every part of HOPN exists to solve a problem you've already had on a Friday night. Four pillars. One pocket-sized app.
Start a trip, check in at every spot, and snap photos along the way. Your night gets stitched together as it happens — no group chat archaeology required.
A live map of your crew. See who's where, who just got there, and who's about to leave — so nobody gets lost in transit between the bar and the next bar.
Wake up to an auto-made recap of the whole night — your stops, your photos, your route, your people. The story is already written by the time you reach for coffee.
You decide who sees what, and for how long. Share live location only with the crew you're out with, only for as long as the night lasts. The night ends, the access ends.
Why HOPN
The Pouch shows your whole crew on a live map. No more spamming the group chat from a stairwell.
Every stop, every photo, every detour gets pinned to the trip — automatically, in order, without you thinking about it.
Open HOPN the next morning to a clean visual story of the night. Share it, screenshot it, or just smile at it over an iced coffee.
Live location lives inside the trip. When you end the trip, the sharing ends with it. Nothing lingers, nothing tracks.
No feed, no scroll, no strangers. HOPN exists for your group of friends, the spots you actually go to, and the stories you actually want to keep.
Questions, answered
HOPN is a night-out app. You start a "trip" when the night begins, check in at every spot you go to, snap photos and add notes along the way, and see your group on a live map the entire time. In the morning, the app stitches everything into a visual recap of the night — your route, your stops, your photos, your people. It's the difference between a great night you only half-remember and a great night you actually have a record of.
HOPN will be free to download and use at launch. We may add premium features down the line, but the core experience — starting trips, checking in, the live group map, and the morning recap — will always be free.
We're heading to TestFlight (the iOS beta) first, with early access going to people on the waitlist. Full public launch on the App Store follows after, with Android close behind. Join the waitlist and we'll tell you the moment there's a spot for you.
Only the people you've added to your trip — the crew you're actually out with. And only for as long as the trip is active. The moment the trip ends, location sharing ends. HOPN is not a follow-me-forever app. It's a "we're out tonight" app.
They stay inside your trip. You and the people in that specific trip can see them. Nothing gets posted to a public feed — there isn't one. The recap is yours to keep, share, screenshot, or delete entirely. Your choice.
Nope. Any night out that involves multiple spots and a group works — bar crawls, concerts, birthdays, bachelorette weekends, festival days, visiting a friend's city, a wedding weekend. If it's a story you'd want to remember the next morning, HOPN is built for it.
We're starting in specific college towns to build a real community before we scale, since HOPN works best when your whole crew is on it. If you want to bring HOPN to your campus or city, get on the waitlist and tell us where you are — we read every signup.
Tap the "Join the waitlist" button anywhere on this page. You'll be among the first invited to TestFlight, and you'll get updates as we get closer to launch.
