What exactly is HOPN? +
HOPN is the all-in-one app for a night out with your group. Plan the route, invite your friends, run the night on a live map, and wake up to a recap of every stop and photo. Post the trip to your profile for friends to interact with. All the memories from your night out, saved in one place.
How much does it cost? +
HOPN will be free to download and use at launch. We may add premium features down the line, but the core experience (starting trips, checking in, the live group map, and the morning recap) will always be free.
When does HOPN launch? +
We're heading to TestFlight (the iOS beta) first, with early access going to people on the waitlist. Full public launch on the App Store follows after, with Android close behind. Join the waitlist and we'll tell you the moment there's a spot for you.
Who can see my location? +
Your location is only visible to the friends in your pouch, and only while the trip is active. The second the night ends, the sharing ends. No background tracking, HOPN is on when you're out and off when you're not.
What happens to the photos and check-ins from my night? +
Everything in your trip stays in the pouch by default. Only the people on the trip can see your photos, route, stops, and recap. If you want to share it beyond the pouch, you can post the full trip to your profile and feed for friends to see.
Is HOPN only for going to bars? +
Nope. Any night out that involves multiple spots and a group works: bar crawls, concerts, birthdays, bachelorette weekends, festival days, visiting a friend's city, a wedding weekend. If it's a story you'd want to remember the next morning, HOPN is built for it.
How do I join the waitlist? +
Scroll down to the signup form at the bottom of this page and drop in your email. You'll be among the first invited to TestFlight, and you'll get updates as we get closer to launch.
